Question: How do I recognize a true spiritual teacher?

Comment: The psychology of a true spiritual teacher is based on all-embracing love as opposed to fear. He knows through personal experience that the Kingdom of God is within and, therefore, is happy without a visible cause! He also sees the Supreme in everything and everyone and, therefore, is overflowing with care for others. He is carefree as a child: he cries when it hurts, laughs when it is funny, eats when hungry, sleeps when sleepy. He is not proud of his spiritual attainment: he thinks that he is the same as everyone. If you ask him about his spiritual understanding he will say that he understands and knows little; however, his friends perceive deep wisdom in him and value his advice. Others feel so good, so blissful near him that it is difficult to part.
